The Boeckel family has been established in Mittelbergheim for 400 years. In 1853 the wine-grower Frédéric Boeckel founded the commercial enterprise. At the end of the 19th century a large part of the wines was already bottles – in advance for that time – and exported. Today Jean-Daniel et Thomas Boeckel continue to produce high quality wines on 26 hectares of excellent vineyards cultivated by organic agricultural methods, completed with 15 hectares from Mittelbergheim.
