It was on the foothills of the Pyrenees, along the Cathar Castles route in Maury, in 2001, that two passionate winemakers met each other: Jean-Luc Thunevin, owner of Château Valandraud in Saint-Émilion, and Jean-Roger Calvet, a native of Maury.
The very first vintage was vinified in a garage in a small street of Maury village.
Today, 50 hectares are cultivated with respect for the environment and its exceptional terroirs.

Flavors
The style is intense and deep, with notes of dark fruits and licorice. All parcels are hand-harvested; berry sorting both in the vineyard and cellar is essential for this cuvée to achieve a perfect balance between fruit, acidity, and tannins.
